A post conviction relief hearing for another of the convicted Lillelid killers began yesterday morning in a Greene County courtroom.

Crystal Sturgill is the second of the six to seek to have her conviction overturned. Natasha Cornett had her request denied in December following a hearing in Hamblen County. Sturgill appeared before Criminal Court Judge James Beckner. Beckner sentenced all six to three consecutive life terms without parole in 1998 for the roadside murders of the Knox County family. After being kidnapped at an I-81 reststop, Vidar, Delphinia, Tabitha and Peter Lillelid were driven to a road in the Baileyton community and shot. Only the boy survived.
