Cupp Running for Judge

Thursday, June 12, 2098

The Johnson City attorney who recently represented the alledged leader of the five Kentuckians convicted of the 1997 Lillelid murders, has formally announced his plans to run for Criminal Court Judge in the First Judicial District.

Bob Cupp, who was appointed attorney for Natasha Cornett, is seeking the judgeship currently held by Arden Hill, who has announced his retirement.

The judgeship serves Carter, Johnson, Unicoi and Washington counties.

Cornett and the four other defendants pled guilty earlier this year to the murder of Vidar, Delphinia and Tabitha Lillelid and the attempted murder of Peter Lillelid. They were sentenced to life without parole.
