July 16, 1997 - Judge Lawson To Preside In Juvenile Hearings
Judge Kendall Lawson of Rogersville will hear today's preliminary hearing for four adult suspects in the April Lillelid murders. Lawson, Circuit Court Judge for the Third Judicial District, was appointed to hear the case after Judge James Carter agree to recuse himself Monday. Twenty year old Joseph Risner, nineteen year old Edward Dean Mullins, eighteen year old Natasha Wallen Cornett, and eighteen year old Crystal Sturgill are scheduled for preliminary hearings this morning. Transfer hearings for the two juvenile suspects, fourteen year old Jason Bryant and seventeen year old Karen Howell, are scheduled for Thursday.
