Jason Blake Bryant has filed a federal petition challenging his murder conviction
Bryant, now 22, claims his due process rights were violated during the trial in which he and five other Kentucky teens were convicted of first degree murder in the 1997 deaths of Vidar, Delfina and Tabitha Lillelid and wounding of the other family member Peter.
In February 1998, all six entered guilty pleas to the murders along side a Greene County roadway. Several of the defendents have filed appeals since that time, all of which have been overturned in various courts. Natasha Cornett and Edward Dean Mullins have filed appeals similar to the latest one by Bryant in U.S. District Court in Greeneville over the past two years. Both were dismissed.
