Ruling Expected In 30 To 60 Days

Judge James Beckner is expected to issue a ruling on the Karen Howell Post Conviction Relief Petition within the next 30 to 60 days.

Testimony in the case ended Monday. Howell had been seeking a new trial after she and five others entered guilty pleas to the 1997 shooting deaths of the Lillelid family on an isolated Greene County road.

Beckner has previously denied similar petitions from the other defendants.
