September 5, 1997 - Arraignment Hearing Today
The six suspects in the Lillelid murder case are scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon in Greeneville. A Greene County Grand Jury Tuesday returned a twenty-nine count indictment against each of the four adults and two juveniles charged in the killing of Vidar and Delphinia Lillelid, and their daughter, Tabitha. The couple's two year old son, Peter, was wounded in the April incident, which occurred on a gravel road near Baileyton. Prosecutors say they will seek the death penalty against the adults and life in prison for the juveniles if convicted.
