June 12, 1997 - Custody Fight Intensifies
The fight for custody of the sole survivor of the Baileyton shootings is intensifying. Two year old Peter Lillelid survived wounds from the April 6th shooting incident that left his parents and young sister dead. In a petition filed yesterday, the child's maternal aunt and grandmother are accused of harassing and intimidating his maternal grandfather, who believes Peter's father's relatives would give him a better home. A hearing has been scheduled for June 27th. Meanwhile, four adults and two juveniles continue to be held on murder charges in connection with the incident.
