April 08, 1997 - Third Victim Dies
Another victim of last night's shooting in northern Greene County has died. And authorities now have broadened their investigation. Two adults, a male and female, were found shot to death on Payne Hollow Lane, about one-quarter mile off Van Hill Road, a mile north of Baileyton. The pre-school age children were found in the arms of the dead adults. They were flow to U. T. Hospital in Knoxville where the girl died at 12:05 PM this afternoon. The boy remains in critical condition. The man and both children had been shot in the head. The woman was shot in the torso. Sheriff Terry Jones said this afternoon that authorities are investigating the case as a possible robbery/homicide and have extended that investigation into the state of Kentucky
